Typically how long does it take to finish the work?

Repair times can vary according to watch or jewellery type and the issue at hand. For example, the repair time for a quartz watch overhaul is usually just 1 to 2 weeks. But vintage watch servicing can sometimes take 2 to 3 weeks. Other jobs can last longer because we have to order parts or jewels. We know that everyone would like their watch or jewellery as quick as possible, all we ask is for some patience on your part. Watch and Jewellery repair is a very complex process. Testing is also factored into the repair to ensure we have effectively repaired your watch to the standard you require. We keep you informed through our tracking system with regular updates just enter your telephone number.

Are the prices at Atoz Watch and Jewellery Repair competitive?

We refuse to cut corners, and always use the appropriate parts, but are very competitive on our pricing.

Do you offer a guarantee with your watch and jewellery repairs?

Yes we have a standard no quibble 1 year guarantee on all repairs in some cases this is extended depending on the job undertaken we want your business for life and to recommend us to others.

Why should I trust you with my watch or jewellery?

Some people do feel uneasy at sending items through the post but in our time we have not had any instances where watches have been lost or damaged so we must be doing something right. But we are not complacent we are fully insured by TH March the industry standard at our premises and if you follow our 3 step process your timepieces will also be covered in transit always.

But if I send you my watch or jewellery, how do I know I'm going to get it back?

If we kept peoples watches or jewellery we would not be in business very long if in any doubt call us I am sure we can put your mind at rest.

Do you uphold your warranty?

Every time provided your claim is fair and within reason we reserve the right validate your claims.

Are you insured? If so, should I buy insurance?

Yes, we are fully insured. You should only purchase insurance from for example your courier or Royal Mail to ensure you are covered in transit.

I sent my watch. When will you contact me?

When your watch arrives we will book a technician to look at it and inform you by text or email or telephone call based on your preference.

Can I track my repair?

Yes we will send you a link with you confirmation email.

How do I pay for my repairs?

Payment is collected at the point the repair is completed we accept, all major credit and debit cards, PayPal.

Do I have to pay for parts and labour if you cannot fix my watch or jewellery?

No there is no charge there may be irreversible damages, parts might not be available, etc. In these rare instances, we simply ship your watch or jewellery back to you at our expense.

How much time do I have to pay for my watch or jewellery repair?

We expect payment at completion of the repair in all instances; if this is not forthcoming for whatever reason we give you a 90 day grace period. After which, we reserve the right to disassemble your watch or jewellery to extract the new parts and charge you to return the watch to you.

How long will you hold my watch or jewellery if I don’t give you a payment?

We track all watches and jewellery under our care. But, we cannot be held responsible for storing your repaired watches and jewellery after the 90 day non-payment grace period. As you can appreciate this can take up valuable space in our facility.

Can I contact you about the status of my watch or jewellery?

Yes, but we have a system that updates you through various stages as to what we are up too and allows you to respond.

You simply enter your contact number. As previously stated, repairs generally take anywhere between 1-3 weeks.

I sent my watch in for repair, but it's still not working. What do I do?

We have a 1 year repair warranty, so just send it back to us. Please bear in mind that there must be a connection between our prior work and what is effecting your watch. For example, if we did a glass replacement and your bracelet happens to break 6 months later, we are not liable for this as it is an unrelated issue and we will charge accordingly.

Are there any brands you don't service?

No at present we will repair watches or jewellery made by any manufacturer as long as we can access the original parts.

Can you add links to my watch bracelet?

Maybe; it depends on the particular strap. We have generic links that work with lots of popular brands and models. Other bracelets require us to order replacement links from the manufacturer. For all link questions, we ask that you send us a photo of your watch so that we can determine how to assist you.

Do you perform certified watch and jewellery valuations?

Yes we can for a fee provide this service price is determined on a case by case basis.

Can you repair my antique watch?

Yes, we can fix antique watches.

My watch is water damaged. Can you fix it?

We’ll do our best to restore your watch to working condition, but it really depends upon the damages.

Can you fix my pocket watch?

Yes, we perform pocket watch repair.

How often should I have my watch serviced?

The answer depends on the type of watch you own. We suggest about every two years as a guide but some manufacturers will recommend other periods.

What's the difference between a quartz watch and a mechanical watch?

A quartz watch is powered by a battery a mechanical watch is powered by a winding mechanism either by hand or by wrist movements.

My watch is waterproof. Will it still be waterproof after repairs?

If this is a concern and you will be submerging your watch in water we will only recommend water pressure testing as part of your servicing package it just makes sense.

How do I get my watch battery replaced?

Easy just follow our 3 step process.

Are the replacement batteries guaranteed?

Yes they are as part of our 1 year guarantee.

How long does a battery replacement take?

Not long at all we aim to complete battery replacement orders within 2 to 4 business days after the timepiece arrives at our location.
